FRI 11/13 - ARRIVAL - Many folks will arrive on November 13th, Friday afternoon. If you are arriving after 7:00PM, please let your hotel know (many of the smaller motels do NOT have evening staff, so they will leave your key for you). When you arrive, explore the town on your own. Discover Big Nose Kate's and the Crystal
Palace. Have your pictures taken in western wear at Sadie Jo's Old west Photo Studio. Relax, meet old friend and make some new ones. The Clanton's will be in town this weekend as it is their annual pilgrimage to Tombstone as well, and their events are open to everyone, so click here for the Clanton Gang schedule.
FRI 11/13 6:30 PM - DINNER - We will be dining on the patio of the Six Gun City restaurant. They are excited to have us join them at 6:30 Friday evening. Separate checks are not a problem. Be sure to come hungry!! We will be delivering the 2009 Tombstone T-shirts at dinner.
SAT 11/14 8A-12N - CAR SHOW - Saturday morning will dawn early as we plan to park our cars on the street at 8:00AM. Cars will be judged and awards given at High Noon.
SAT 11/14 1:00PM - Saturday lunch is on your own. Continue to explore Tombstone, or take a drive out to Kartchner Caverns. Last year the group toured the Rotunda/Throne Room. If you did not have the opportunity to go, it is an absolutely stunning, living cave that is well worth the time and money. For the Rotunda tour it will cost $18.95 per person with the Big Room Tour costing $22.95. Please call the park at (520)586-2283 to make your reservation. If you choose to "hang out" in the Tombstone area, you might check into the Fairbank Ghost town located at 2679 N. Old Fairbank Road at Hwy 82 eight miles west of Tombstone. Perhaps you would enjoy a trip to the Boothill Graveyard to look at all of the old tombstone still there. The OK Corral has "The Main Event" at 3rd street and Allen. This will show the gunfight at the OK Corral from the Clanton's perspective. Tombstone Courthouse Historic Park might be a nice way to while away the hours for a minimal fee of $4.00. The Tombstone Epitaph Museum or the Bird Cage Theater Museum are also delightful alternatives for the afternoon.
