I think the t-shirt needs a tagline. How about:

1. Party in Room #1399, the Better Part of Valor

2. Sky-Sol - We Love Cruisin' on Land and Sea!

3. 2010 BP Gulf Oil Cruise - Slicker than Snot

5. I'd Rather Be Cruising in My Roadster

6. Ship Happens

7. Boat Potato

I think men should wear blue shirts and women wear red shirts. Then when we get drunk and collide on the dance floor, the survivors will be "marooned."

I vote for Rich's #2 or #4 slogans. By the way, this is the 3rd Kappa Kruise!!! So it can't be the 1st Annual.

How about the "first annual third"? That will keep the little people guessing...

I know we can do what we'd like for the excursions but is most everyone considering doing things as a group or in groups?
How 'bout a roll call to see what's going to happen.

I know that the Calif ride is on most everyone's mind but maybe at the August dinner, or on here, we could have excursions all printed out and see what most of us want to do. Or have each one select what they'd like to do at each port and put their choices on here.

If we're paid in full by next month we should have a jump on the majority who'll pay when they have to in Sept. in having our choices of excursions available if I'm reading the web-site right.

Re:Winter Solstice Caribbean Cruise 2010 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Michael couldn't get the time off work, so Jessica and I are booked. We are leaving at midnight on Friday night and arriving at 9AM into Ft Lauderdale, planning on playing in Miami for a day and a half.

I booked at the Intercontinental, but the price has dropped since the original post (it is still the only 5-star in Miami, however).

Jessica went down to San Diego over Fourth of July weekend and got PADI certified (with the guy from San Diego Roadsters), so she is probably interested in scuba diving on at least one excursion if there is anyone who needs a scuba buddy (I am certified, but don't really love diving).

I may not love diving but I do love DRIVING, and I see that Dollar and Thrifty rent Ford Mustang convertibles out of Ft Lauderdale for $49/day via southwest.com, and so we might go down to the keys and get Jessica's scuba diving fix. How is everyone getting to the cruise terminal on Sunday? I might be able to hang onto the car and do some "shuttling" if desired, although a mustang might not be the roomiest car for this (in December, however, if the weather isn't perfect, I am renting a different car).

Glad you booked Rich.

From what I understand, its about a 10 cab fare from the Intercontinental to the cruise terminal. It's actually very close - just a couple miles.

You could save the $10 and take a nice stroll to the ship.
