So I have always been the guy who prefers customization but hesitant to do much to the Sky on my own because unlike my 93 Integra, if I mess something up, it will be a very costly mistake. But recently, I have taken on the attitude of "screw it." lol
Within the last month or so I swapped out the beige top for a black one my fiance bought me. But once I did that, the itch started and I found that familiar malcontent I used to have with my Integra. I purchased the RK Sport lip kit (before I saw that awesome kit Martin posted recently) and I just put that on the other day. I purchased a set of of rear mud flaps for the Solstice and installed them right afterward and lastnight I just bought some canards to add to the front lip.
I'm just getting started, and I just uploaded a few progressive pics chronicling the mods I've installed. They're under my profile. In the near future, I am going to get the silver shifter console painted white to match the car as well as the small silver steering wheel inserts. I am also planning on getting the beige door panels and seats reupholstered in white.
After that, the exhaust, tune and rear stabilizer bar. I also want to drop the stance a few inches. I am getting excited just thinking about it.
With that being said, has anyone ever removed the steering wheel inserts? I lightly pulled on them the other day and they felt like they wanted to give, but I want to make sure before I wind up snapping them off.
Hi I have a Sol and not a Sky so I am not sure if it is the same. But I did removed my steering wheel insert and changed it to the autobot logo. And it was fairly easy to do. Took only a couple of minutes. Good luck!
