girltalk.gif We are delighted to announce the Girl Talk section of our Sky-Sol discussion forums, to make it easier for the gals in our club to find stuff that tends to get lost or burried really deep on this fast-moving website, like recipes, shopping info, etc. As our get-togethers have become more and more social over time, and as the number of active women in our club has grown, we felt it was important that we open up the forums to discussion of non-car topics. At the same time, we didn't want to create a free-for-all forum where political topics often dominate and get everyone agitated.

We came up with the idea for a "girl's corner" on our website at the club's March 2007 Spring Training Baseball game. While the game was certainly a lot of fun, several of us girls found ourselves talking about adding shopping excursions to future road trips, and we talked about posting recipes from past social gatherings. As the guys came and went in this conversation, we decided that we needed our own place on the website to talk about girl stuff, and thus the concept was born!
